The Harold E. White Legacy Society honors alumni, faculty, staff, retirees, and friends who have chosen to create a lasting educational legacy for Πή³΅΄σΆΣ students through an estate gift or other planned giving arrangement.

A Legacy Rooted in History
Planned giving has shaped Πή³΅΄σΆΣ University since its very beginning.
The University’s foundation traces back to the extraordinary generosity of Michael Fitzpatrick and his sister, Frances Fitzpatrick, who donated more than 170 acres of farmland to the Archdiocese of Chicago in the 1920s. That land became the home of what is now the Romeoville campus.
Michael Fitzpatrick played an active role in bringing his vision to life, witnessing the dedication of Holy Name Technical School in 1932. Frances remained closely connected to the campus for decades, often visiting students and sharing simple acts of kindness, like bringing buttermilk and cookies.
Their forward-thinking generosity not only made Πή³΅΄σΆΣ possible, but their legacy continues to shape the institution today.
